Background

Rhoda 40, separated with 3 teenagers, age 14, 16 and 18 years old. Her mother and stepbrother will look after them, if she works in Singapore to help her family financially. She is from Iloilo city, Philippines.

Personality

She described herself as a simple, hardworking, loving, caring, honest and a responsible person. Rhoda spend her free time nurturing strong bond with her children.

Academic qualifications

She graduated from high school, equivalent to Spore's Sec School standard.

Experiences

2 years (2011-2013) as a helper in Dubai.

Rhoda day starts from 6am and ends at 8:30pm in a family of 4 with a baby and 2 years old child, all stayed in a 2-bedrooms with 3-toilets apartment. She would prepare the child for school, cleaned and tidied the house, do the laundry and ironing work. Rhoda would focus on the household chores when the baby was fast asleep. She attend to the baby need even in the middle of the night.

5 years (2013-2018) as a helper in Brunei.

Rhoda worked in a 2-storeys, 3-bedrooms with 4-toilets house, with 4 adults’ family and 2 pets. She does household and related chores, and washes 5 cars, twice weekly.

Cooking

Rhoda cooks Filipino food and keen to learn to cook Chinese and any other dishes as well.

Childcare

Rhoda took care of her employer’s newborn and children. She is very keen to look after the infant and children in Singapore.

Petcare

She is willing to look after pets.

Handphone

She will follow the employer's instruction regarding handphone usage. However, she will contact her family using her own handphone after work hour.

Any other usage arrangement is between employer and helper, this will be stated in the Job Offer.

Off-day

The helper is entitled to weekly off-day or at least 1 off-day per month and the other 3 working off-days, she will be compensated accordingly.

2 years contract

She is aware that she will enter a 2 years contract.

Recommendation

In summary, Rhoda is an experienced helper, mature and ready to take on a new challenge. She does household and related chores. She is willing to look after infant, children and pets, doesn’t mind working in a big house.
