Joy worked for a Qatari family with two grown-up children aged 14 and 17, living in a 2-storey house. Her main duties included general household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing, as well as cooking and preparing meals for the whole family. She also assisted in preparing the children’s daily needs, including their uniforms and other necessities. She completed her contract from 2017 to 2019.
2019 - 2021 (2 yrs), Qatar:
Joy worked for a family of 6 members, all grown-ups, living in a 2-storey house, together with another helper. Her main responsibilities included taking care of an elderly person, including administering insulin injections four times a day, monitoring blood sugar levels every morning, accompanying the elderly for regular medical check-ups, and ensuring medication was taken as prescribed. She also prepared Arabic meals for the elderly, and handled general household chores such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing. She then went back to the Philippines.
Dec 2024 to Present: Joy is currently a salesgirl as she seeks employment in Singapore and hopes to have 1 off day per month to recharge.
