Rhodelyne Gonda

Rhodelyne, a Filipino domestic helper is experienced in domestic help, caring for children and the elderly and knows household management.

October 2022 to present- as Caregiver for a Chinese old man in his  80's who has dementia and is diabetic. She takes care of him on a 12 hour night shift and would feed him, give his medication, bringing him out for a late night walk around their area, assisting him when he needs to go to the bathroom, gives him a bath in the evening, changes his diaper, his employer is mostly awake at night, massages his legs too, injects his insulin. Rhodelyne can start work anytime.

2015 - 2018 - Singapore. Rhodelyne worked for a Chinese family residing in an HDB unit. The household consisted of six adults and three children aged 3, 5, and 7. Her responsibilities included infant care, childcare, elderly care, and disability care. Later in her employment, she was entrusted with the care of the elderly parents of her employers. The elderly couple, both aged 73, included the father, who was still independent, and the mother, who had dementia, had suffered a mild stroke. Rhodelyne provided full-time caregiving  duties for the mother, assisting with mobility, feeding, bathing, diaper changing, administering medications on schedule, and accompanying her to medical appointments, and manage her meltdowns even during late nights that sometimes would lasts until the early hours of the morning. She also managed general housekeeping tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and ironing, and prepared meals for the family, cook dishes like fried rice, steamed vegetables, fish, noodles, and congee. She also prepared meals for the family's two unmarried sons and attend to their needs. While employed, Rhodelyne completed an Advanced Elderly Care course conducted by Home Academy in Singapore. After fulfilling her contract and leaving the family, she returned to the Philippines to further her qualifications by completing a Caregiving Course with National Certification II (NC II) and undergoing Basic Nursing Skills Training. She finished her contract.

May 2013 - June 2015 - Abu Dhabi. Rhodelyne worked for an Emirati family with their newborn child, along with their 8 other children ages 2,5,7,11,13,16,19, 21. Her primary responsibility was caring for the infant, which included bottle feeding, nighttime care, diaper changing, and bathing. In addition to infant care, she assisted with the other children by preparing their meals, organizing their school essentials such as uniforms, shoes, bags, and supplies. She also managed general housekeeping tasks, including laundry and ironing and cleaning. While she was not responsible for cooking or gardening she also gives a hand in the kitchen whenever needed. The household was a two-storey villa with 12 rooms. She completed her contract.
