We chose the name "Aroha" because it means "love". Inspired by 1 Corinthians 13:13 "And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love." It serves to remind us that beside having faith and hope, we need to incorporate "love" in everything that we do, including in the way we run our business, how we treat our employees, how we serve our customers and how we train & assist our maids. Aroha itself origins from Maori language and was chosen because Aroha was born in the same year as Neve Te Aroha, the daughter of Jacinda Ardern, incumbent New Zealand Prime Minister. Jacinda has been an inspiring role as the world's youngest female head of government, having taken office at age 37. The fact that she gave birth to a daughter while managing her role as Prime Minister also conveys a strong message that it is possible for a woman to maintain a work and life balance, especially when you have a great... helper! :)
